2. What tasks does AI support?
AI assists in generating imaginative story drafts, discussion prompts, 3D watercolor character illustrations, and high-clarity voice narration.
Public library stories are carefully curated and human-reviewed for positive developmental themes and age suitability. For personalized storybooks, parents preview and approve character artwork before final story generation.
Stories and interactive prompts are designed for family bonding and joyful learning, and do not replace professional educational, pediatric, or behavioral counsel.
3. Data handling and AI generation
Story personalization prompts (such as a child's first name or nickname, chosen story theme, and age range) are processed securely via OpenAI-compatible APIs solely to generate the custom storybook text and scenes.
Personalized Character Art: When parents create a personalized storybook, they upload a clear reference photo of their child. This photo is processed in private cloud storage solely to extract artistic likeness details (hair style, eye shape, smile) and generate the story's 3D watercolor character avatar. Photos and character models are stored privately in Cloudflare R2, are accessible only by the parent's account, are NEVER published publicly, and are NEVER used to train public foundation models.
Safety guidance: Parents should never enter sensitive identity credentials—such as home street addresses, school names, government ID numbers, or private medical details—into story prompts or photo uploads.
Narration text is rendered using Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and secure neural voice services over encrypted channels.
4. Voice and media protection
Voice samples and child photos are sensitive personal data. Only adult parents or legal guardians with proper consent may upload photos or voice samples.
All uploaded photos, generated character avatars, and custom voice profiles are linked exclusively to the parent account and can be updated or permanently deleted at any time through the account management tools or by emailing support.
5. Editing, reporting and processing
We apply multi-layer content filters to screen for age-appropriateness, positive themes, respectfulness, and child safety.
If you ever encounter an illustration or story detail that feels confusing, frightening, or inappropriate, please pause playback and reach out to us at our support email with the story title. We investigate and remediate reported content promptly.

- Maintain complete control over your child's profile, uploaded photos, and generated personalized storybooks, with one-click deletion available.
