Who is The Lantern Lake That Waited for?
Children 4-8 years old who are beginning to practise giving a sincere apology in real moments, not just in pretend play.
The challenge this story explores
The adventure gives a child a safe rehearsal space for guide floating lanterns to their families, fix the mixed-up light trail, and help Pip make amends before the moonpath fades. Parents can notice the character’s choice, then connect it to one small moment at home without turning the story into a lecture.
Story overview
On a moonlit lake, Lumi and Pip guide tiny lantern boats that move only for true words. When Pip’s careless tug scatters the parade, he must face a crying keeper and learn what makes an apology real.
